This is an exciting time for Shape Talent as our small but mighty consultancy is experiencing rapid
growth. Having grown quickly over the last two years, it is now time for us to optimise some of our
back-office operations and become more standardised, efficient and effective in all our operations.
We have recently commenced a journey of back-office streamlining with the introduction of some
new systems and are looking for someone to build on and extend this work. The incumbent will play
an active role in helping to streamline all areas of Shape Talent’s operations and help us to become
as efficient as possible, with clearly defined and documented processes and systems in place across
all back-office areas, as well as client-facing practices.
The role will initially focus on continuing the work already started in standardising the back-office.
This will involve ensuring clear, documented and repeatable processes are established,
communicated across the team and implemented. Also developing policies in key areas, including a
Staff Handbook and Associate Policies, and ensuring GDPR compliance.
Beyond this initial set up, the role holder will be responsible for managing all day-to-day business
operations, such as management of back-office suppliers, governance of client projects and
contracts, managing legal and insurance matters, managing the operating costs and budget, tracking
key financial and non-financial metrics, working to ensure a strong ESG ethos including carbon
neutrality across our operations, and maintaining processes and policies.
The role requires someone who knows their way around small businesses and has a knack for
streamlining operations. You’ve most likely done this in a previous role, may also have PMO or
project management experience and an affinity for systems. Most of all you’re commercial,
analytical and have strong influencing skills.
